US festival awards Iran’s ‘The Statue’

The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF) in the United States has awarded Iranian animated short film ‘The Statue’.

‘The Statue’, directed by Mohsen Salehi Fard, won the Best Animation at the SFFFF.

The short is about a sculptor who has difficulty in making his statues.

The film was named a runner-up at the Earl’s Court International Film Festival in the United Kingdom.

The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF) is NGO that was established in 2006 with the aim of “creating avenues for independent filmmakers, youth, filmmakers of conscience, and artists from under served communities to come together and exhibit their work to the widest possible audience”.

The 17th edition of the American event took place on July 12-16.
